PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: TEK GEL™ for Flattooing
Precision Decorative Concrete Stenciling

Gelled Acid Formula:	Hydrochloric (HCl) 18-25%
Color:	Opaque gel
Odor:	pungent
pH:	+/- 1
Solubility:	Infinite in water
Flammability:	Non-flammable
Flash Point:	> 200˚C
Freeze/Thaw:	Store between 38˚F & 100˚F
Coverage:	200 - 400 sq. ft. /gal.
Storage:	Stable under normal conditions. Do not store near or mix with strong alkalis, i.e., sodium or potassium
User Warning:	Use in well ventilated areas only
Safety Wear:	Splash goggles. Ventilator and neoprene gloves recommended. Avoid excessive direct contact with skin
Health rating:	3 Severe (Corrosive)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE / APPLICATION:

• Ready to use, DO NOT DILUTE
• Surface must be clean, free of grease/oil & dry
• Shake or stir contents well before applying
• Apply stencil according to manufacturer's recommendations
• Apply product using a non-metallic, acid resistant brush. For best results and clarity, avoid disturbing the bond of the stencil to the concrete surface
• Allow product to sit on surface 5 Ð 30 minutes Leave stencil in place
• Carefully collect excess product into a pail using plastic trowel. Neutralize before discharging to sewer.
• Thoroughly neutralize and rinse entire stenciled area with water. A second clean water rinse is required. Re-check stencil adhesion prior to adding colors, i.e., liquid color hardeners
• Remove stencil & allow surface to dry before sealing

PRIMARY USE:

Product can be pumped from container by using an acid resistant hand pump.
Product must be stirred or mixed well before use, with or without a pump.

• Works with vinyl stencil materials for precision decorative stenciling.
• Produces a uniform etched surface for improved subsequent product adhesion
• Can be used on new or old concrete surfaces

LIMITATIONS/INCOMPATIBILITIES:

• Avoid strong oxidizers, caustics, fabrics, carpets
• Avoid contact with metals and marble
• Caution: If product comes in contact with metals, flush immediately with water to avoid damage.
• If used indoors, provide adequate ventilation
• Humidity increases the need for additional ventilation
• Excessive heat can cause evolution of gaseous hydrogen-chloride
• Avoid continuous direct sunlight
• Avoid freezing
• Do not reuse container.
• Follow all applicable Local, State, and Federal chemical disposal regulations
